The work I do,
and ideas I bring to life.

I'm often asked about the role I played in this work - if it's shown on this page, I was likely the sole designer. While I love working with teams, I'm typically brought in as a pinch hitter for special projects and work across ALL aspects of UX including research, copywriting, UI, visual & brand design. Kate is the best UX designer I've ever worked with. Her uncanny ability to create something out of nothing - that is, a vague idea into an elegant, functional design never ceases to amaze me.

Hey, I'm Kate.
Designer, Nerd, Travel Junky, Taco Connoisseur.

My love for design (and travel!) began while thumbing through National Geographic as a child. In high school, I obsessed over layout and typography working on yearbooks, which led to fine art studies, a graphic design degree, and a role learning from world-class designers at Nike.

After pursuing an MBA, I nabbed an internship at HP, fell in love with tech, and started working as a product manager for a mobile startup. Since then, I’ve collaborated with 50+ startups and major companies as a designer, marketer, strategist, analyst, advisor, and even junior frontend developer!

At my core, I’m a creative problem solver who thrives on tackling complex, end-to-end projects. While I’ve recently specialized in edTech, I work with clients across industries on a freelance or contract basis. From crafting websites and landing pages to building design systems, Figma prototypes, and fully-featured applications, I deliver designs that drive real results.

Notable recent clients include Harvard University, Sylvan Learning, OneGoal, Bank of America, Medable, Babylist.com, Etsy.com, Compass.com, and Microsoft. For more work history and skills, visit LinkedIn or download my resume here.
